I live in Tenerife and most of my calls are to Spanish mobile phones and UK landlines.

Anyone knows which providers offer the cheapest solution to Spanish mobile phones.

To Spanish Mobiles the best deal you are likely to get is by calling from another Spanish Mobile - since you are already in Spanish territory. Shop around for the best tariff. (Sorry its not a VOIP solution !)

UK landline, if you are looking for a fairly reasonable rate then choose a Finareao or Betamax service and pre pay your €10. This will give you free calls for 120 days. Just make sure you use the credit within the 120 days (by making calls you would have made anyway for example, calling Spanish Mobiles) to make sure it doesn't expire unspent

Good Day

Just wanted to share my new experience.

If your system denies to run due to an error related to missing HAL.DLL, invalid Boot.ini or any other critical system boot files you can fix this by using the XP installation CD. Just boot from your XP Setup CD and enter the Recovery Console. Then launch "attrib -H -R -S" on the C:\Boot.ini file and remove it. Run "Bootcfg /Rebuild" and then Fixboot

Regards,
Carl

Hi Folks!

That's me again.

This time we will learn how to use the Bootrec.exe tool in the Windows Recovery Environment to troubleshoot and restore often startup errors in Windows Vista.

INTRODUCTION

You can use the Bootrec.exe utility in the Windows Recovery Environment (Windows RE) to troubleshoot and fix the following items in Windows Vista:
-Master boot record (MBR)
-Boot sector
-Boot Configuration Data (BCD) store

Note: When you are troubleshooting startup mistakes by using the Windows RE, you should first try the Startup Repair option in the System Recovery Options dialog box.
If the Startup Repair option does not fix the error, or if you must troubleshoot more steps by hand, use the Bootrec.exe tool.

MORE INFORMATION

To run the Bootrec.exe utility, you must launch Windows RE. To do this, follow these steps:
1.Put the Windows Vista setup disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.
2.Press a key when you are prompted.
3.Select a language, a time, a currency, a keyboard or an input method, and then hit Next.
4.Click Repair your computer.
5.Hit the operating system that you want to restore, and then click Next.
6.In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click Command Prompt.
7.Type Bootrec.exe, and then press ENTER.

Good luck with your Windows Vista, since with this OS your still need it.

Cheers,
Carl
